We pulled the old insulation from this Fort Richmond roof deck and sprayed 5 inches of closed-cell Genyk Boreal Nature Elite (about R-30). Starting with a clean deck meant the foam could bond to the rafters without gaps, so heat is not leaking out through the roof. Once the foam was in, the crew could sheath over a sealed, high-R assembly built for Manitoba winters.
